Former Sevier County Clerk Karen Cotter Endorses Logan Baker for County Clerk

Sevierville, TN — Logan Baker, candidate for Sevier County Clerk, is proud to announce the endorsement of former Sevier County Clerk Karen Cotter, who served the people of Sevier County for an incredible 45 years in the Clerk’s Office, including 12 years as County Clerk.


Cotter’s decades of service reflect a deep understanding of the office, its responsibilities, and the importance of delivering reliable, respectful service to the people of Sevier County. After dedicating nearly half a century to the role, she stepped away in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, leadership, and care for the community.


In announcing her endorsement, Cotter emphasized Baker’s character and vision for the future of the office.

“Serving as County Clerk was one of the greatest honors of my life, and I understand firsthand how important this office is to the people of Sevier County,” said Karen Cotter. “Logan Baker has the leadership, integrity, and servant’s heart needed to lead this office forward. His focus on improving access, supporting the staff, and treating people with respect and kindness is exactly what this office needs. I am proud to support Logan Baker for County Clerk.”

Baker expressed deep gratitude for Cotter’s endorsement and the trust she has placed in his campaign.

“Karen Cotter dedicated 45 years of her life to serving the people of Sevier County, including 12 years as County Clerk,” said Baker. “She understands this office better than almost anyone, and to have her support means a great deal to me. I’m honored by her confidence and committed to building on the strong foundation she helped create while leading the office into the future.”

Baker’s campaign is centered on improving customer service, expanding access through additional locations and extended hours, supporting and empowering staff, and modernizing the Clerk’s Office to better serve residents across Sevier County.


With early voting approaching, Baker continues to meet with neighbors across the county to share his vision for a more accessible, efficient, and community-focused Clerk’s Office.
