Logan Baker, Republican candidate for Sevier County Clerk, announced today that Lisa McGill Reagan has endorsed his campaign and will serve as Treasurer.
Reagan, a lifelong Sevier County resident and respected community leader, brings a remarkable legacy of service, business leadership, and philanthropy. A former Lady Vol basketball and swim team athlete at the University of Tennessee, she became one of the first women to receive an athletic scholarship at UT and was later inducted into both the Sevier County Athletic Hall of Fame and the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame.
Beyond her athletic career, Reagan owns multiple business endeavors in Sevier County, employing dozens of local residents and welcoming thousands of visitors to the Smoky Mountains each year. She has also served in leadership roles across Sevier County, including as Chairman of the Gatlinburg School Board, past President of the Pi Beta Phi PTA, and Board Secretary of the Sevierville-Gatlinburg Airport Authority.
Reagan’s heart for service extends to her tireless work with local ministries and nonprofits. She has helped lead fundraising efforts for Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, Sevier County Food Ministries, and numerous youth programs, raising tens of thousands of dollars annually to support local families. On a larger scale, she and her family have contributed millions of dollars to the University of Tennessee, creating scholarships that have touched nearly every UT campus and supporting both academics and athletics. Lisa is also a devoted member of First Baptist Church Gatlinburg, where she serves on the church’s pulpit committee.
“Logan Baker is exactly the kind of principled, conservative leader our County Clerk’s office needs,” Reagan said. “He has proven himself through his leadership as a Sevier County businessman, his ability to manage large organization operations, and most importantly, his heart for people. Logan knows that public service means putting others first, treating every citizen with respect, and managing every taxpayer dollar with care. That’s the kind of leadership Sevier County deserves,” Reagan concluded.
As campaign treasurer, Reagan will oversee financial operations with the same transparency and fiscal responsibility that have marked her career in business and philanthropy.
Baker said he is honored by her support: “Lisa McGill Reagan is one of Sevier County’s best. Her leadership, integrity, and generosity have made a lasting impact on this community. I am humbled she has chosen to serve as our campaign treasurer, and together we will work to bring respect, efficiency, and accessibility back to the Clerk’s office.”
The Republican primary election for Sevier County Clerk will be held on Tuesday, May 5.
