SEVIERVILLE, TN — Tennessee State House Representative Jeremy Faison has officially endorsed Logan Baker in his campaign for Sevier County Clerk, citing Baker’s servant leadership, work ethic, and proven commitment to the people of East Tennessee.
Faison, who has represented the region in the Tennessee General Assembly for over a decade and currently serves in a leadership role in the State House, pointed to his firsthand experience working alongside Baker during the devastating Hurricane Helene flood relief efforts as a defining moment.
“I’ve had the opportunity to see Logan Baker in action when it mattered most,” said Faison. “During the Hurricane Helene floods, Logan dropped everything to step in and serve. He didn’t wait to be asked, and he didn’t look for recognition. He simply showed up for people in need.”
Faison highlighted their joint efforts through Crossroads Community Church, where volunteers came together to establish what became the largest volunteer-led relief center in the region. The effort provided both immediate survival resources and long-term support to families across East Tennessee and Western North Carolina impacted by the flooding.
“Working together through Crossroads Community Church, we saw Logan help organize and support a relief operation that reached multiple counties and thousands of people,” Faison added. “His leadership, compassion, and ability to mobilize others in a time of crisis were truly remarkable.”
Baker, a lifelong Sevier County resident, small business owner, and community leader, said he is honored to receive Faison’s endorsement.
“Representative Faison has been a strong advocate for our region and a leader who understands what it means to serve,” said Baker. “To have his support, especially after working side by side during such a difficult time, means a great deal to me.”
Baker’s campaign for County Clerk has focused on improving customer service, expanding access to services across the county, and modernizing operations to better serve residents. His plan includes extended hours, additional full-service locations, enhanced online tools, and a renewed focus on creating a respectful, efficient experience for every neighbor who walks through the door.
“The County Clerk’s office should be a place where people feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of,” Baker said. “That’s the kind of culture and service I’m committed to bringing to this office.”
Faison emphasized that Baker’s leadership style aligns with what Sevier County needs in its next Clerk.
“This office touches nearly every resident in Sevier County,” said Faison. “Logan has the heart to serve, the business experience to lead, and the vision to move the office forward. I’m proud to support him and encourage others to do the same.”
